Why location permissions matter

Enabling location permissions
Participants should:
- Allow location access when opening the app
- Enable GPS/location services on their device
- Allow accurate location if available
Both iPhone and Android devices support location permissions through system settings.
Improving GPS accuracy
GPS performance is usually better:
- Outdoors
- In open areas
- Away from underground spaces
- With stable internet access
Dense buildings or poor connectivity may temporarily affect location accuracy.
Common location issues
If checkpoints are not activating correctly:
- Confirm GPS is enabled
- Check internet connection
- Restart the app
- Move closer to the checkpoint location
