General
What ReadySet is, who it's for, and how participants join.
What is ReadySet?
A platform for real-world multiplayer Experiences. Organizers build in ReadySet Studio; participants play in the ReadySet App.
Is ReadySet just a scavenger hunt-style experience app?
No. That format is one option. ReadySet also supports broader multiplayer Experiences with custom activities, teams, scoring, and branding.
What types of events can ReadySet be used for?
Team building, conferences, onboarding, activations, festivals, tourism, education, and fan engagement.
Do participants need to download the app?
Yes. Participants play through the ReadySet App. They do not need to create an account.
Do participants need accounts?
No. Participants join using an event code provided by the organizer — no sign-up, no password.
How do participants join an experience?
Participants open the ReadySet App and enter the event code shared by the organizer. The code unlocks the right Experience — no account, password, or invite link needed.
How many people can participate?
From small private groups up to large activations with hundreds of participants. For very large events, contact the ReadySet team.
Creating Experiences
Building experiences in Studio — checkpoints, activities, and customization.
What do organizers use ReadySet Studio for?
Building Experiences end-to-end: set the event area, place checkpoints, add activities, configure mode/teams/scoring, apply branding, and publish the event code.
What is a checkpoint?
Checkpoints are gameplay locations players visit during an Experience. Each checkpoint can contain one or more activities or challenges.
What is an activity?
Activities are the gameplay tasks players complete at checkpoints — for example trivia, photo challenges, video tasks, puzzles, or creative missions.
Can I create my own activities?
Yes. Organizers can create custom activities inside ReadySet Studio in addition to using the activity library.
Can I customize the experience?
Yes — activities, branding, structure, scoring, teams, and event flow. Available options vary by plan.
Does ReadySet use AI?
Yes — AI assists with checkpoint generation inside an event area. Organizers stay in control of the final Experience.
Does ReadySet use AR?
Some optional activities include AR. It's never required — Experiences play normally on devices without AR support.
Gameplay & Participants
Single-player vs multiplayer, modes, teams, and how players take part.
What's the difference between single-player and multiplayer?
Single-player runs one Experience per device. Multiplayer lets teams collaborate, with each participant on their own device.
What is Ready Set Go mode?
Ready Set Go starts all participants at the same time — best for live, synchronized events.
What is Pick Up & Play?
Pick Up & Play allows participants to join and play more flexibly over time — best for drop-in or longer-window experiences.
Can players compete in teams?
Yes — multiplayer team gameplay with leaderboards and live scoring.
Can experiences be played remotely?
Depends on how the Experience is designed. Check with your organizer.
Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for the most common participant issues.
Why isn't my checkpoint activating?
Usually one of three things: GPS or location permissions aren't enabled, internet is weak, or you're not close enough to the checkpoint. Step outside, confirm permissions, and walk past the checkpoint and back.
Why isn't my event code working?
Usually a typo, an event that hasn't been published yet, or an expired preview code. Confirm with the organizer.
Does ReadySet require GPS?
Location-based Experiences need GPS access. Others don't — it depends on how the organizer set it up.
What devices are supported?
Most modern iOS and Android devices. Some optional AR-enhanced features may not work on every device.
Agencies & Enterprise
White label, integrations, and large-scale event support.
Can agencies use ReadySet for clients?
Yes — for branded multiplayer Experiences and client activations.
Does ReadySet support white labeling?
Yes — available on agency and enterprise projects.
Can ReadySet integrate into existing apps?
Possibly — depends on scope. Reach out via the agency/enterprise contact flow.
Can ReadySet support large events?
Yes. For very large-scale events, the ReadySet team helps with planning and implementation.
