Previewing & Testing Your Experience

Before publishing your event, ReadySet allows organizers to preview and test the experience from a participant's perspective. Testing helps ensure checkpoints work correctly, activities feel balanced, and gameplay flows smoothly.

How previewing works

Inside ReadySet Studio, organizers can generate a preview code for their event.

This preview code can then be used inside the ReadySet app to test gameplay before the experience goes live.

Why testing matters

Previewing your experience helps you:

  • Check checkpoint placement
  • Test activities
  • Verify gameplay pacing
  • Review scoring
  • Confirm instructions are clear

Testing is especially useful for:

  • Larger events
  • Branded activations
  • Multiplayer experiences
  • Timed gameplay

What to test

Before publishing, consider testing:

  • Join flow
  • GPS/location accuracy
  • Activity difficulty
  • Timing
  • Leaderboard behavior
  • Overall playtime

Publishing your experience

Once testing is complete, organizers can:

  • Publish immediately
  • Manually start gameplay
  • Schedule the event for later

Participants can then join using the event code.
